COURSE DESCRIPTION

BSB41507 Certificate IV in Project Management is a nationally recognised qualification that reflects the role of individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to undertake project-based work.

The program is aligned to the Project Management Institute's Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge.

Relevant job roles include Project Coordinator, Project Team Member and Project Administrator.

Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisite requirements for this qualification. However, sound language, literacy and numeracy skills, basic computer skills and access to a computer with internet are required. You do not need to be managing a project to undertake study at this level but should be actively engaged as a member of a project team.

Program Structure
The Certificate IV in Project Management requires completion of eight (8) core units of competency for the qualification to be awarded. These 8 units cover all aspects of project planning, stakeholder management, risk management, project evaluation and resourcing.

Delivery
Training and assessment is by blended delivery:

  • Online: completion of theory components for each unit

  • Face to face: compulsory attendance and participation in two (2)
    2-day practical intensive sessions (see Date Details)

Some online components are required to be completed prior to attending the face to face practical intensive sessions.

Assessment is a combination of written questions and practical activities to be completed in class and in the workplace.

Recognition
Recognition is available by advising the enrolling officer on your enrolment or your facilitator and a Recognition Kit will be provided.

Tutorial Support
As part of your fees optional email and telephone tutorial sessions are provided throughout the program to assist you with assignment work and to deal with any challenge areas.
